The 17,889 square foot Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) features a comprehensive and thoughtful design, including 24 beds arranged in eight pods of three, alongside 16 private critical care beds. It caters to the needs of families with overnight spaces equipped with pull-out sofas in patient rooms, decentralized nursing stations for more personalized care, a family waiting area, and a bridge for direct access to the Birth Center in the original tower. The facility also offers four versatile critical care rooms that can easily be transformed into isolation rooms, with two specially designed to provide a serene space for parents to spend private moments with their terminally ill child by concealing medical equipment. This design prioritizes comfort, privacy, and the emotional well-being of families during challenging times.
